Elyse Heslehurst

I am Elyse Heslehurst, and I’m running for Murrumbidgee. Born and raised in Canberra’s south, I’m now raising my young family here, while trying to save a deposit for our first home.

Like other mums, I understand how much cost-of-living pressures are impacting families, renters, and young people.

If elected, I guarantee that I will work hard every day to make Canberra a more affordable place to buy, own and rent a home.

As part of Elizabeth Lee’s Canberra Liberals team, I’ll focus on:

• Creating more affordable housing and greater housing choice.
• Improving access to health and mental health services.
• Providing better public transport options.
• Improving education and vocational training outcomes.
• Investing in community infrastructure including local shop upgrades, more parking, and better playgrounds.

On 19 October, we can vote for a better future or more of the same. I’ll be choosing the Canberra Liberals for a new, vibrant, and affordable city.
