Ed Cocks MLA

Shadow Minister for Mental Health, Regulatory Services, Jobs and Workplace Affairs, Assistant Arts

Member for Murrumbidgee

Ed is a south-side local. Born at the old Woden Valley Hospital, Ed bought his first house in Kambah, has worked in Woden for over 20 years, and is raising his young family in Canberra’s South.

Prior to entering politics, Ed had an extensive career in government and the public service. He is passionate about improving our health system, having dedicated much of his career to developing practical health and mental health policy solutions.

At various times, Ed has also worked as a courier, a help-desk worker, and a dance music producer and promoter.

A strong advocate for people living across Canberra’s often neglected southern and western regions, Ed is here to advocate for you, represent your interests, and make sure your voice is heard by the ACT Government.
